What is a reserve study?
A reserve study is a long-term capital budget planning tool that compares the current reserve fund of an organization to future capital repairs and replacements.
A reserve study is a tool prepared by engineers who study the property to help identify and prepare for major repair and replacement projects for the community.
This study was commissioned in 2021 for Canterbury and was used in the decision to raise dues and install individual water meters to reduce the monthly water bills that are reducing the reserve funds needed for repairs.
