Water Bills for Canterbury

Water Billing

All units at Canterbury Townhomes have water meters installed inside the front closet. Water bills are not included in the HOA fees but must be paid by the owner or tenants of each unit.

Energy Billing Service (EBS) is the company responsible for water billing. Each owner will establish a username and password for their address. They can share this information with a tenant if they wish to make direct payments. However, the owner is ultimately responsible for seeing that the bill is paid each month.

The water and sewer bills are paid through Energy Billing Service (EBS). Bills are sent out around the 15th of each month. You can register on their website here: EBS Web Central – Customer Registration

Or you can pay your bills directly here:

EBS will provide an online option to create an account, log in, and pay your water bill. Customers have the option of paying by check, making credit card payments online, or setting up a monthly automated payment of their outstanding balance. Clients are also given full access to resident account information to review billing and payment history online in real-time. Customers will also be able to view real-time data online at EBS’ dedicated energy conservation website.

EBS Services “EBS” Customer Call Central also offers experienced, well-trained Bilingual Customer Service Professionals utilizing industry-leading technologies to field customer-billing questions and solve problems.

An EBS water bill that you will receive will look similar to this sample bill.

The Canterbury HOA continues to pay OWASA directly for all water usage, but this cost is offset by the funds sent to the HOA each month from EBS. The individual accounts will allow you and us to see where there is unusually high water usage, for example, from a running toilet or a leaking pipe. It will also ensure that a single individual is not paying the same for water that a unit with multiple people is paying.

Why are we installing individual water meters?
